Trekking from Budlaan to Sirao Peak in Cebu

The Babag trekking group did another adventurous trekking. This time from Budlaan to Sirao; to conquer Sirao Peak.

We trekked thru the Kabang River in Budlaan then climb Sirao Peak which is approximately 750 Meters above sea level.

How we went there:

We met at sunny hills in Talamban then rode a habal-habal (25 Pesos each) going to Budlaan. Then from Budlaan, we went down to Kabang river and started trekking. We passed by 4 wonderful waterfalls then we   trekked to Sirao Peak. This whole trek started from 9 AM and ended at 5PM(where we reached the summit).

From Sirao, we rode habal2 again down to JY square. Fare is 50 pesos each.

Honda Beat Scooter Review

After using my Honda Beat scooter for a year, I decided to make this review for the benefit of those who are  planning to buy this scooter. I'm not gonna lie, the points you will read below contain more positive statements about this motorcycle simply because I loved it and still loving it. I will try my best to sound unbiased.

[Fixed] Call to undefined function GuzzleHttp\Handler\curl_reset() Error

I operate a couple of job portals that accept online applications. The applications are sent directly to the employer's email. One day, all of the sites cannot send any applications. I was receiving the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function GuzzleHttp\Handler\curl_reset() in /home3/boyiboyi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gmail-smtp/google-api-php-client/vendor/guzzlehttp/guzzle/src/Handler/CurlFactory.php on line 78

I am using a 3rd party SMTP management plugin called Gmail SMTP Plugin so I contacted them. They checked the error and said everything was fine on their side. They suggested updating my PHP version.

Solution:

So, I went to the CPanel dashboard in my Hostgator hosting and updated the PHP version from 5.4 to 5.6.

It fixed the error for all of my sites.

How to update the PHP version in Hostgator:

1. Login to your customer portal.
2. Go to Hosting and click on Hosting dashboard
3. Click on manage databases and click Home on the newly opened tab. The class…

Claim Your Google Adsense Earnings Through Unionbank of the Philippines Wire Transfer

I have been receiving Google Adsense earnings through Western Union every month for the past couple of years. This month, days before my scheduled payout, I got a notification from Google to change my payment method from Western Union to a wire transfer. Over the years, I only use my wife's Unionbank account in all my online transaction so I am not sure if I can use it for Google Adsense. I can only try to add it so I did.

I use the form below to add the new payment method. I only filled up the name on the bank account, bank name, SWIFT BIC, and account number.

Unionbank SWIFT BIC UBPHPHMMXXX.
On the date of payout, I received an email from Google that they sent the money already. I was anxious because I am not sure if that would go through the bank. The bank did not notify my wife or anything.
Usually, with Western Union, I can get the money once they sent the email with the MTCN code. But with the wire transfer, the only thing I can do is wait. One full day after I received the…

Midway Minkay Beach Resort

Wife and I went to Midway Minkay beach resort as part of my birthday celebration. We agreed to go out more often while we don't have kids yet.
The resort is located in the Municipality of Initao, around a 45-minute bus ride from Iligan city where we live. We took a Rural bus transit with a fare of P85 each person.
The resort staff were friendly and polite. Area was clean and we enjoyed the white sands. We rented a room for two for P1,799 a night with complimentary breakfast. The food was great and there were a lot of amenities that you can enjoy such as renting banana boat, zip line and jet skis.
Overall, we had an awesome time. I highly recommend the place.
Here is a video I created about the resort. Contact numbers and rates are found in the video.

199Jobs Review

I am always on the lookout for additional income streams especially when it's online and I can earn it from home. Recently, I have discovered 199jobs.com. This is a website where you sell your services for just 199 PHP. If you are familiar with Fiverr, then this, for me, looks like local version of it. This post is my 199jobs review.

I registered to the site and see if I can make some money out of it. Registration is pretty straight forward and if you have an email or a Facebook account, you are good to go.

I am a certified online marketing specialist. So, I listed my service as a website auditor under digital marketing category. You can see my service here.

On the day my listing was published,  I already received my first order. I finished the task within 3 days as promised from my sales copy then notified the buyer and the buyer completed the task on his end. After that, I received my payment of 159 PHP. 199jobs gets 20% of each completed order. That is how they make money.
